Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I expected finding bebe’s first Halloween costume to be easier. When I found out that I was pregnant, I immediately made two decisions:

  1. I will have a calm, peaceful birth.
  2. Baby will be Harry Potter for Halloween.

So, when she emerged into the world with Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives playing in the background, I moved all eggs to the “Harry Potter for Halloween” basket. Except where are the baby Harry Potter costumes? I can’t craft, so making one is out of the question. They don’t sell them online, so buying one is out of the question.

My daughter was born hearing Guy Fieri’s voice, but the universe can’t even help me find an infant Harry Potter costume. Is this what people mean when they say being a parent is the hardest job?

My guy and I joke that our daughter is a mad scientist. We can’t explain her hair except for the most likely scenario: bebe conducts experiments in the night that go horribly wrong.

That or maybe the shock of J. Crew discontinuing their baby line makes her hair stand on end.

In any case, we are crazy about this hair.
